Responsibilities
As a BackEnd Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the delivery of highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable enterprise applications
You will work with modern technologies, collaborate on product definitions with Product Managers, implementing technical solutions with hardworking teams
You will gain expertise in the world of big data and building and operating high-scale and highly reliable services that receive Billions of events per day or process PetaBytes of data
Contribute to engineering guidelines by providing guidance towards code review, test coverage, and promoting high standard methodologies in software development
Steer technical design and architecture discussions, making critical decisions that drive technical product design
Lead engineering efforts and projects to deliver critical components, new features and enhance performance of existing features
Optimize performance and scalability of backend systems to ensure high availability and fast response times
You will learn to master technologies like Java, Scala, Spark, Akka and will operate in popular public cloud infrastructures like Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure
Qualification
Required
Employer will accept a Bachelor's/advanced degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field and 0-1+ years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Development Engineer-related occupation
BS in computer science, MS in computer science preferred
Passion for developing high-quality software applications Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of data structure and algorithms
Strong communication to articulate ideas and strategies
Proven record of delivering highly optimized code in Java/Scala
Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, caching strategies, async patterns
Ability to adapt and learn cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
Able to understand distributed processing systems like Apache Spark, Hadoop Stack, or Kafka
Understanding of key computer science concepts for SQL or NoSQL databases like MYSQL, HBase, Cassandra, Mongo, or Azure Cosmos DB
Able to work in an Agile based software development methodologies
