Intern – Alkali Metal Testing
TerraPower is a nuclear technology company based in Bellevue, Washington, focused on advancing global energy deployment through innovative nuclear solutions. They are seeking an Engineering Intern for Alkali Metal Testing to support liquid sodium testing for the Natrium Demonstration reactor, involving hands-on laboratory work and collaboration with the design organization.

Responsibilities
Perform small laboratory-based liquid sodium development tests to support the Natrium reactor project
Design and build the test apparatus to accomplish each test
Work with the requesting design organization to understand the unique needs of each scoping test
Document and deliver the data to the responsible engineer
Analyze, interpret, and present results
Assist test engineers with other larger tests as needed, to include design, fabrication, operation, and reporting activities
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering or a related technical discipline
Experience performing hands-on mechanical work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork
Preferred
Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
Previous experience working in a laboratory environment
Experience with data acquisition systems
Experience reporting laboratory test results graphically and numerically
