Research Assistant Professor - Kinesiology and Nutrition
The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is a leading urban public research university, and they are seeking a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology & Nutrition. This role focuses on conducting research related to immune cells in wound healing, with responsibilities including experimental design, grant applications, and dissemination of research findings.

Responsibilities
Applicant will be responsible for design and conduct experiments focused on understanding the role of immune cells in normal and diabetic wound healing. These will involve mouse models of wound healing, single cell RNA sequencing, flow cytometry and histological analysis to elucidate novel immune pathways that contribute to normal and impaired healing. Importantly, these experiments should lead to dissemination via publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presentations at national and international scientific conferences. The applicant will also be responsible for generating ideas, preparing and submitting new grant applications. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Qualification
Required
PhD in Kinesiology or Nutrition or related field
Minimum of 5 years Post-doctoral or related experience
Extensive experience with mouse models of wound healing
Extensive experience with flow cytometry
Extensive experience with cell sorting
Extensive experience with histological analysis
Extensive experience with single cell RNAseq, including downstream analyses
