Mechanical Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

Crane Company is a leading provider of aerospace and defense systems, and they are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join their Sensing & Power Systems Engineering Team. The intern will assist with engineering duties related to the design and development of mechanical products, gaining exposure to various stages of product life cycles and working alongside senior engineers.

Responsibilities

Work effectively with other functional groups to achieve product performance
Generate models and conduct analyses that are in compliance with requirements
Perform design experiments and evaluate test results to validate analysis
Build quality and manufacturability into the design
Generate and review engineering documentation related to product development: technical drawings, procedures, reports, correspondence, etc

Required

Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in engineering
Must provide GPA, minimum accepted 3.1 on a 4.0 scale
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possess effective interpersonal skills in a team environment
Must be project-oriented and be able to multi-task
Knowledge/proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft PowerPoint
Ability to fulfill a one quarter or semester internship commitment, 40 hours per week
Available to work full-time during summer months
