Responsibilities

Client Engagement Review & Processing – Partner with attorneys, the Office of General Counsel (OGC), and Risk Management colleagues worldwide to review, process, and index client engagement terms
Drafting & Negotiation – Draft and negotiate retention letters and client-specific waivers to support compliant and effective client relationships
Risk Analysis & Resolution – Apply independent, critical thinking when reviewing outside counsel guidelines to identify risks and propose practical mitigation strategies
Advisory Support – Advise attorneys and staff on compliance with outside counsel guidelines, recommending and justifying modifications when appropriate
Subject Matter Expertise – Maintain deep knowledge of outside counsel guideline provisions and related firm policies, serving as a trusted resource for the team
Stakeholder Communication – Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from firm leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and attorneys with accurate guidance
Team Leadership Support – Act as a point of reference for junior team members when leadership is unavailable, fostering consistency and confidence
Service Excellence – Deliver high-level, client-focused service to attorneys across a variety of matters and priorities
Project Contribution – Support department leadership and contribute to ad hoc initiatives as business needs evolve

Required

Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Five or more years of experience in law firm risk management, including conflicts searching, business intake and acceptance, or related compliance functions
Experience with Intapp software solutions, including Intapp Terms, Intake, and Conflicts, strongly preferred
Ability to work flexibly, manage shifting priorities, and exercise sound judgment under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism
Commitment to responsive, thoughtful, and solutions-driven customer service

Preferred

Experience with Intapp software solutions, including Intapp Terms, Intake, and Conflicts, strongly preferred
