Responsibilities

This internship offers hands-on experience in managing building operations and supporting workplace safety initiatives within the water utility industry

The intern will assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment for employees and visitors

Utilize Facilities space planning software and work order ticketing system to coordinate, track and fulfill facilities related requests

Assist with daily facilities operations, including maintenance requests, vendor coordination, and office space management

Support safety programs by helping with inspections, audits, and compliance documentation

Participate in emergency preparedness activities and update safety signage and materials

Monitor building systems (HVAC, lighting, security) and report issues promptly

Help maintain records for safety training, incident reports, and regulatory compliance

Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency projects

Provide administrative support for facilities and safety-related projects
