Sales Manager - AIF, Compressor Technique, Chicago, IL
Atlas Copco is a company specializing in innovative compressor solutions, and they are seeking a Sales Manager for their Oil Free Air division. The Sales Manager will be responsible for prospecting and maintaining customer relationships to grow market share in air compressor products, while achieving sales goals and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Prospects, sources, and maintains quality customers in assigned area to grow market share
Responsible for new and factory refurbished equipment sales
Work closely with a peer aftermarket sales representative to provide high customer satisfaction to clients
Achieve or exceed assigned sales goals by developing action plans and schedules
Call on and sell products directly to customers in assigned area
Engage in planned prospecting activities to increase the customer base
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
Establish rapport by maintaining regular contact with existing and new customers
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, introducing customers to new products and upgrades
Study customer needs and coordinate customer service
Prepare and present quotes, proposals, pricing, credit terms
Oversee customer services through quality checks and follow-up
Maintain a professional image at all times
Enhance division and Company reputation and brand image
Obtain, develop, prepare, deliver, and present sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs
Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Prepare reports as assigned relative to activity, lost orders, closings, follow-up, and performance against budget
Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image
Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years of direct sales experience or customer service experience, industrial equipment sales preferred
Four-year degree in engineering, business or marketing preferred or equivalent work experience
Must be self-directed
Must utilize company CRM system to log all sales visits and opportunities promptly and in accordance with company provided targets
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills
Have proven business analysis skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Overnight travel to attend company meetings and training as required
Preferred
Four-year degree in engineering, business or marketing preferred or equivalent work experience
Industrial equipment sales preferred
