The role involves serving as an IT liaison for Epic end-users and business partners, while providing technical expertise to enhance healthcare laboratory solutions and optimize project implementations.

Responsibilities
Researches business needs and translates into standard workflow and build requirements necessary for configuration and business process changes
Provides deep technical knowledge, analyzing Epic vendor software updates and the impact to the business for Epic applications in area of expertise
Codes complex functions including building application tables and reports for Epic applications in analyst's area of expertise
May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and / or complexity
Leads the team in testing script development and updates to match business requirements
Troubleshoots and resolves complex application issues and partners with technology service center to ensure high first call response rate for Epic applications in area of expertise
Provides routine maintenance of Epic applications and systems using existing procedures. Follows and stays current with internal processes, policies and procedures
Develops, analyzes, prioritizes, and organizes technical requirement specifications using data, diagrams, and flowcharts to inform decision making
Solves unique problems with broad impact on the business and leads others to solve complex problems; uses conceptual and innovative thinking for developing solutions
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Epic Beaker CP certification is required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent years of experience and education
Five years' experience, specifically with Epic functionality, design, configuration, and technical environment concepts/functions
Experience in Epic builds required: Lab Billing
Lab user security
Lab specimen labels
