Responsibilities
The Clinical Operations Manager partners with one or more RN Clinic Supervisor(s) or Clinic RN Lead(s) to lead the assigned clinics to deliver cost effective quality health care in a safe and timely manner; responsible for overseeing over 25 clinical employees and delegating work tasks throughout the clinics to ensure that these tasks are completed properly and in a timely manner; collaborates directly with the Director of Clinical Resources to align clinical efforts across the physician practices; assists in the development and implementation of clinic operations policies and procedures; tracks and maintain daily clinical operational performance indicators and address opportunities as needed; partners with RN Supervisor(s) and RN Lead(s) and other clinical staff leadership to ensure staff competency requirements are up to date and appropriate documentation is completed; sets performance expectations, obtains feedback, and monitors improvement plans on an ongoing basis; assists RN Supervisor(s) and RN Lead(s) as needed in the education of staff; participates and represents outpatient care clinics in interdepartmental meetings as appropriate or assigned; develops, implements, and executes team improvement initiatives and meetings as required; in collaboration with RN Supervisor(s), the Clinic RN Manager is responsible for hiring, educating, and counseling of employees as appropriate; completes performance evaluations with input from RN Supervisor(s), RN Lead(s), managers, coordinators and directors; manages and coordinates any accreditation survey initiatives for assigned areas; in collaboration with RN Supervisor(s) ensures that clinical care protocols are maintained and adhered to; ensures compliance to all institutional and regulatory quality initiatives and protocols; initiates and implements quality improvement action plans towards accreditation or regulatory requirements; manages clinic expenses to adhere to the budget; works with the leadership to identify opportunities to improve clinical nursing documentation related to quality metrics; completes daily operational responsibilities for assigned area ensuring quality care and efficient utilization of resources; ensures the effective flow of clinic operations by ensuring right size staffing and supplies; serves as the primary liaison for providers in clinic to address clinical nursing opportunities to continuously to improve clinic workflow; troubleshoots and corrects clinic workflow challenges as needed; develops, implements, and executes nursing workflows and competencies that are supportive of clinical providers including but not limited to physicians, residents, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, and other professional clinicians in rendering patient care; works with Care Access team to ensure that optimal clinic schedules/templates are used; collaborates with Safety/Infection Control to report and perform root cause analysis on any identified safety concerns; performs daily unit rounds and waiting room rounds routinely engaging patients, staff and providers to obtain feedback relative to clinic operations improvement opportunities; ensures that patient care is the number one priority and all work activities are patient centered; exhibits a service attitude in supporting and/or participating in patient care activities; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; performs related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Four years professional experience in the area of clinical focus
Three years of experience in a supervisory capacity
Two years of experience in ambulatory care
Licensure or certification in area of clinical focus
Basic Life Support through American Heart Association
Bachelor's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience
