Responsibilities
Engineering and design oversight for medium and low voltage power distribution, UPS/Generators, Lighting, Grounding, Fire Alarm, Security, Public Address (PA), Telecomm, and Heat Trace systems
Evaluate system goals and develop, design, or select the required equipment or power/controls to achieve these objectives
Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications
Direct activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements
Maintain effective communication with project team members and customers
Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
Professional Engineer license in IN or ability to obtain
At least 15 years of experience in electrical engineering design of buildings
Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
Ability to perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, and arc flash
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered
