Project 26 Pennsylvania is dedicated to empowering Gen-Z youth in political advocacy. The Digital Fellow will work with the Campus Organizing Team to create engaging social media content aimed at mobilizing young voters for the 2026 elections.

Responsibilities

Build our own social media following and engagement through working with professional social media & comms strategists

Film and edit short-form (up to 3 min) creative videos to mobilize students for Pennsylvania’s 2026 elections

Film and edit short-ish form (up to 5 min) creative content to educate and mobilize Gen-Z on YouTube

Create static content and designs that will engage and educate student voters

Build regional social media strategies and amplify key content to engage youth voters around PA’s 2026 elections

Required

Be eager to find niche and/or untold stories

Understand the correct tone & pace for short-form video

Seek out and consume noteworthy content and current events– synthesis and interpret that for a young audience

Be able to create weekly trend reports for social media, pop culture, and politics

Have weekend availability, not every weekend

Be creative and flexible; able to manage several tasks simultaneously

Be exceptionally well-organized, and have strong time management skills

Stay current with pop culture and politics-related trends on social media and be able to adapt them to our P26 brand

Demonstrate an ability to condense information into under a minute in a way that is interesting to those with limited knowledge and interest of politics

Have a passion for using political engagement to build a future when Gen-Z can thrive and be ready to jump in and inspire young people to get involved

Be excited to think outside the box and to ideate and innovate to find the most exciting and effective content to mobilize youth voters in your region

Be enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university and/or a Pennsylvania resident
