RISK MANAGEMENT SAFETY COORDINATOR - CB & VR - FULL-TIME - DAY SHIFT

The Safety & Compliance Coordinator is responsible for identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, supporting regulatory compliance, coordinating safety training, and promoting safe work practices across all properties.

Responsibilities

Monitor and remain current on applicable safety, health, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, DOT (as applicable), and state and local regulations impacting casino and hospitality operations

Assist in conducting safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs across Mesquite Gaming properties to identify hazards, document findings, and track corrective actions

Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of company safety policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements

Coordinate with Risk Management, Human Resources, and departmental leadership to support safety training, onboarding requirements, refresher training, and compliance documentation

Assist with regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance documentation, including incident tracking, safety logs, and inspection records

Support departmental leaders by guiding risk prevention strategies related to accidents, injuries, hazardous materials, fire prevention, and unsafe conditions

Promote a culture of safety awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management

Meet compliance and reporting requirements of federal or state regulations

Formulates and suggests work safety standards and enforces procedures. Risk prevention areas include exposure to hazardous materials, accidents, fires, and other unsafe conditions

Leads, facilitates, and advises departments in designing risk management programs within their own departments

Required

Minimum age requirement: 21 years old

State of Nevada Gaming Permit

Valid Driver's License

D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old)

Valid proof of personal vehicle insurance

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable federal, state, and local safety standards relevant to casino, hotel, food & beverage, facilities, and transportation operations

Familiarity with ANSI and ASME standards as they apply to equipment, machinery, and workplace safety

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments

Basic math and record-keeping skills
