StarPlus Energy is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their Supplier Quality Management group. The role involves ensuring compliance with supplier quality standards, managing supplier performance, and conducting quality checks and audits. The Engineer will also lead continuous performance improvement initiatives and provide coaching on lean manufacturing methodologies.

Responsibilities

Establish KPI activities and conduct on-going process monitoring; prepare updates of performance results for management

Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, then lead improvement of supplier performance

Review supplier product specifications, inspection standards, and lesson learned activities

Document internal audits and other quality activities

Work closely with key stakeholders to clarify business and technical requirements for Supplier Quality performance, as well as providing delivery according to schedule

Perform other position related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent. (Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered)

Must be eligible to work in the United States

While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)

Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required

Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of the organization

Strong foundation in supplier quality management

Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability

Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead team

Ability to coach / mentor / develop Engineers and Inspectors

Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred

Master's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Chemical, Electrical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics & Metallurgy

Extensive Quality Experience

Bilingual English / Korean

Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing

Shainin Red X / Six Sigma Certification

Experience with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process, MSA, and SPC (Statistical Process Control)

Experience with quality certification and system such as ISO9001/IATF16949 is required

Familiar with lean manufacturing methodology and implementation

Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications

Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs

ASQ Certification in Quality and Reliability
