Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements for manufacturing improvement projects
Develop and review CAD models, detailed drawings, and specifications for tools, fixtures, and process enhancements
Support prototyping, testing, and validation of engineered solutions
Coordinate with local vendors for manufacturing, fabrication, and implementation of designed solutions
Provide engineering support for custom manufacturing solutions and New Product Introductions (NPI)
Serve as the primary liaison between onsite teams and offshore engineering resources
Manage and prioritize multiple small, medium, and large projects simultaneously
Provide weekly progress updates, documentation, and status reports to stakeholders
Ensure effective communication and collaboration across global teams and time zones
Analyze manufacturing downtime causes and recommend corrective actions
Support initiatives to improve standard work, processes, and on-the-job training
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or related roles
Proficiency in CAD software
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixture design
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver solutions under tight timelines
Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Preferred
Experience in automotive, heavy vehicle, or industrial manufacturing environments
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
