Accounts Payable Trainee
The California State Lottery is a multi-billion-dollar enterprise dedicated to providing supplemental funding to California schools. They are seeking an Accounts Payable Trainee responsible for reviewing, auditing, and processing invoice payments for purchases made by the Lottery, as well as preparing and posting financial accruals and reconciliations.
Responsibilities
Reviewing, auditing, and processing invoice payments for purchases made by the Lottery
Preparing and assembling Office Revolving Fund claim schedules
Preparing, processing, and posting monthly, quarterly, and year-end accruals and reconciliations for inclusion in the financial statements
Qualification
Required
This position requires a current Accountant Trainee exam
A Statement of Qualifications is required to submit with your application package in order to be considered
Preferred
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other software/technology
Ability to follow established policies and procedures including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to manage and complete multiple priorities
Experience and/or knowledge of full accrual accounting
