Westfield Washington Township is offering a Marketing & Communications Internship for college students. The intern will assist with social media content creation, communication efforts, community engagement, and marketing initiatives while gaining valuable experience in grassroots government.

Responsibilities

Assist in creating, scheduling, and analyzing engaging social media content across multiple platforms
Support the development and execution of communication plans for Township projects and initiatives
Collaborate to design marketing materials and graphics for the OWWN Guide, monthly e-newsletters, programming, and MacGregor Park
Research and develop content ideas tied to current and upcoming seasons
Participate in team huddles and brainstorming sessions to support the WWT strategic plan
Assist in writing and editing copy for web, social, and print materials
Help coordinate and execute community initiatives and special events, sometimes requiring on-site attendance
Support daily WWT operations, which may occasionally include assisting at the front desk
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned or required

Required

Strong knowledge of social media platforms
Experience with Canva and video editing software
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Ability to work independently
Must be 18+
Enrolled in college, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field
Valid driver's license in the State of Indiana

Preferred

Experience with Vista Social, or any social media management tool
