Responsibilities

Perform a variety of analytical tasks related to Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), also known as Early Start in California
Coordinate public meetings governed by the Bagley Keene Act
Engage with the community and deliver personnel development activities throughout California
Coordinate and monitor statewide initiatives and outcomes for identifying, locating, and evaluating all infants and toddlers with disabilities ages birth through age two
Develop and manage contracts
Work closely with program management, subject-matter experts, the California Department of Education (CDE), family resource centers (FRCs), local educational agencies (LEAs), regional centers (RCs), and other community stakeholders to facilitate communication and consultation
Support the completion of projects to ensure that federal compliance reporting requirements are met
Provide technical assistance to a variety of community stakeholders

Required

Candidates must be residents of the State of California at the time of appointment
This position requires lawful authorization to work in the United States
The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be numbered in the same order as the following areas, typed in 12-point Arial font, single spaced, and be no more than two pages in length
Describe your experience using regulations or policies to provide support or technical assistance to outside community
Please describe your experience with the California service delivery system for individuals with disabilities and the importance of Early Intervention services
If you are using list eligibility from an on-line exam to qualify for this position, you MUST include with your application any documentation (i.e., copy of transcript, degree, license, etc.) to verify meeting the MQ's or you may not be considered for the position
The MQs will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
