Quality Inspector

Responsibilities
Maintain and enforce quality control standards, procedures, and inspection plans
Conduct inspections and audits of raw materials, incoming components, in-process builds, and finished products
Perform required testing and inspections and approve product releases to inventory or customer shipment
Record, document, and maintain inspection data, testing records, and issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs)
Read, interpret, and apply technical drawings and specifications during inspection activities
Implement and revise inspection plans while adhering to document control requirements
Analyze quality data, identify trends, and generate reports to support continuous improvement initiatives
Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
Conduct root cause analysis on nonconforming or returned products and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
Manage Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and support resolution through compliant processes
Support internal and external quality audits
Facilitate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in alignment with quality objectives
Create, update, and maintain quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, and forms
Administer document control systems, including revision control and access management
Maintain employee training records related to quality system requirements
Provide quality system training and guidance to employees across departments
Support production and manufacturing teams in troubleshooting and resolving quality-related issues
Serve as calibration technician by maintaining calibrated inspection and measurement equipment and ensuring timely calibrations
Stay current on applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a manufacturing environment
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent hands-on quality experience will be considered
Strong hands-on inspection experience with electro-mechanical products
Proficiency reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Experience with document control and product data management systems
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative mindset with the ability to build productive working relationships
Experience using inventory management systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments
Preferred
Quality-related certifications (preferred)
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) software
Exposure to quality collaboration tools (e.g., QMS or similar platforms)
Working knowledge of CAD software; SolidWorks experience is a plus
