Responsibilities
Maintain mammalian cell cultures and perform transient transfections to produce protein therapeutic candidates
Purify antibodies and other proteins using AKTA FPLC systems
Characterize proteins using techniques such as SDS-PAGE, HPLC-SEC, DLS, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry
Purify and prepare plasmid DNA for transfections
Organize and maintain protein inventories
Plan and perform experiments, analyze data, and present results in group meetings
Document experiments in an electronic lab notebook
Qualification
Required
BSc and a minimum of 6 months of industry experience
Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture
Experience purifying proteins on AKTA FPLC systems
Hard-working, scientifically curious, and enthusiastic to contribute to cutting-edge work
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and able to multitask
Able to work well as part of a team
Preferred
Proficient with basic protein characterization methods such as SDS-PAGE, HPLC, UV-Vis
Experience with transient transfections in HEK293 or CHO cells
Molecular biology skills such as DNA preparation
