Continuous Improvement Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive sustainable improvements and works closely with plant personnel
Develop and execute improvement action plans
Facilitate continuous improvement practices that enhance employee engagement
Develop and maintain tracking tools and measures to ensure project transparency
Assist in business case justification for projects and initiatives
Facilitate training and coaching on CI tools and disciplines
Work cross-functionally with plant departments utilizing effective communication skills
Apply project management methodologies to optimize resource utilization, enhance operational efficiency, and drive productivity improvements
Develop peer relationships with shop floor employees to gain understanding of production processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
2+ years of experience in manufacturing
Experience and moderate proficiency in MS Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Projects, and Vizio) required
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize projects and tasks
Must be able to work independently and with a team
Excellent communication skills across multiple mediums (verbal, written, electronic)
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and levels of cleanliness

Preferred

1+ years of experience with continuous improvement preferred
Application knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and related CI tools preferred
Experience in providing training/coaching across multiple levels within an organization preferred
