This role involves project accounting, cost tracking, and auditing while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

Manage project accounting activities for manufacturing projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
Monitor and analyze project costs to ensure alignment with budgets and timelines
Perform project audits to ensure financial accuracy, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to company policies
Collaborate with project managers to review financial performance and provide actionable insights
Prepare and maintain detailed project financial reports for management review
Support month-end and year-end close related to project and manufacturing accounting
Ensure proper allocation of labor, materials, overhead, and other manufacturing-related costs
Maintain accurate project documentation and financial records
Interface regularly with multiple departments, ensuring clear communication and strong working relationships

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in project accounting within a manufacturing environment
Experience with project auditing and internal controls
Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, job costing, and work-in-progress (WIP)
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a problem-solving approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

Preferred

Sage accounting software experience strongly preferred
