MMC Group LP is hiring for a Senior Consumer Compliance & BSA/AML Auditor for our client in Abilene, TX. This role focuses on executing risk-based audits, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring financial crimes and regulatory programs remain effective and regulator-ready.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute risk-based audits across BSA, AML, OFAC, and consumer compliance
Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls supporting financial crimes programs
Perform audit testing across SARs, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, CTRs, and information sharing
Support audits related to consumer protection, payments, fair lending, and military protections
Prepare audit workpapers and documentation in line with internal audit standards
Identify control gaps and develop practical, risk-based recommendations
Draft audit reports outlining issues, root cause, risk impact, and remediation
Review and track management action plans through remediation
Coordinate with external or co-sourced audit partners
Stay current on regulatory changes and emerging financial crimes risks

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
4–5+ years of experience in internal audit, compliance, or public accounting within financial services
Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, and regulatory compliance frameworks
Experience with risk-based audit methodologies and internal controls
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred

CIA, CAMS, CRCM, or similar certification (or actively pursuing)
Experience in multi-entity or complex financial institutions
Exposure to co-sourced or externally supported audit engagements
