Principle Recruiting is working directly with a sophisticated mid-size boutique law firm that is seeking a mid-level Labor & Employment Associate Attorney for their New York City Office. The role involves representing management-side employers in various employment law matters and providing legal counsel on compliance and employee relations.
Responsibilities
Representing management-side employers in employment litigation and counseling matters, including defending discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour claims
Advising on day-to-day employment law compliance and employee relations issues
Drafting and updating employee handbooks and workplace policies
Preparing employment and separation agreements
Supporting internal investigations and risk management initiatives
Qualification
Required
3+ years of strong labor & employment experience at a firm, including representing management-side employers in employment litigation and counseling matters, including defending discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour claims; advising on day-to-day employment law compliance and employee relations issues; drafting and updating employee handbooks and workplace policies; preparing employment and separation agreements; and supporting internal investigations and risk management initiatives
Driven, entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset
Excellent written & oral advocacy skills
JD & active license in NY
