Responsibilities

Assist with part, assembly, and drawing creation using Solidworks CAD program
Assist with the fabrication of prototype designs including machining, 3d printing, and composite layup manufacturing
Perform hand calculations for aircraft performance, structural analysis, and dynamic testing
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
Collaborate with manager to establish internship goals and steps on achieving those goals throughout duration of the program
Performing field tests on equipment and document results
Research solutions to new products components and recommend upgrades
Perform other duties as assigned
Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule]

Junior or Senior on the path to get a Mechanical, Aerospace, and/or Aeronautical undergraduate or master's degree
Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred

Solidworks CAD experience from either school, industry, or personal project
Machining and 3 axis CAM experience
Experience with Aircraft stability and dynamic analysis using OpenVSP or equivalent
3d printing and slicer experience
Composite layup experience
Ardupilot and Mission Planner Experience
Robotics and/or hobby RC aircraft experience
