Part-Time Research Assistant- Electrical Engineering
Penn State University is seeking a part-time research assistant in the College of Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering. The successful candidate will conduct research on developing point-of-care biosensors for studying bacterial cells and their antibiotic response, while also training lab members and co-authoring journal articles.

Perform research in developing point-of-care biosensors for studying bacterial cells, their antibiotic response, as well as their role in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease
Training other lab members in Ebrahimi lab
Presenting in meetings
Co-authoring journal articles
Qualification
Required
Background in device physics
Background in optics
Background in microbiology
Ability to perform research in developing point-of-care biosensors for studying bacterial cells
Ability to study antibiotic response of bacterial cells
Ability to study the role of bacterial cells in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease
Ability to train other lab members in Ebrahimi lab
Ability to present in meetings
Ability to co-author journal articles
Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
