Senior Specialist, Project Engineer
Cynet Systems is seeking a Senior Specialist, Project Engineer to lead engineering development and project management activities. The role involves overseeing cross-functional engineering teams and ensuring that engineering processes adhere to best practices to improve development excellence.

Ensure design and product elements meet requirements through reviews and testing
Support change management and customer upgrade requests for released products
Track and manage engineering budget and estimates
Qualification
Required
Broad-based technical knowledge and experience to evaluate design and development across engineering functions
Knowledge of the full hardware/software product life cycle from concept to production, including system architecture, design, integration, and verification/validation
Understanding of good development processes such as lean product development, Design for X (DFX), Six Sigma, product life cycle management, and systems engineering
Ability to analyze projects, break down work into functional disciplines, and plan for execution
Familiarity with the military/defense contracting environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading integrated product teams
Strong organizational, facilitation, and arbitration skills
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Engineering development leadership and process improvement
Proposal process leadership including technical WBS definition, cost and risk estimation, and schedule creation
Project management for technical activities including decision making, task/schedule management, requirements management, and risk mitigation
Conducting and leading design reviews (ConDr, SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, SVR, peer reviews)
Defining and implementing development plans (hardware, software, integration testing)
Managing engineering budgets and staffing requirements
Coordinating handoffs to operations and field support teams

Bachelor's degree in a related engineering/science field and minimum of 4 years of related experience
Master's degree in progress in a related field with at least 2 years of related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of related technical and project management experience
Preferred
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project
Proficiency in CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks
Experience with PLM tools (Agile)
Experience with MRP systems (Cost Point)
PMP certification
Experience in power distribution, generation, and/or conversion equipment development preferred
