Tier Two Support & Systems Administrator

Mint Dentistry is seeking a well-rounded IT professional to join their growing team in a hybrid role that balances Tier 2 Support and Systems Administration responsibilities. This role involves providing top-tier technical support while maintaining and improving systems, including servers and networking equipment, for a user base of over 1000 across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

Experience managing Multi-Site Active Directory - Active/Active - supporting a user base of 1000+ users at 50+ physical locations
Manage a fleet of 50+ Windows 2016, 2019 servers - On-Prem and Data Center based
Experience with SAN, Clustering, and Hyper-V
Ability to lead projects and track tasks with other team members
Excellent documentation capability required
Excellent communicator required
Ability to solve problems quickly, accurately, and independently
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Manage, Update, Tune, and Respond to monitoring platform
Work with the IT Manager to create strategic roadmap
Work with the IT Manager and the Network Infrastructure Directory to create, update, test, and execute DC DR/BCP plan
Work with the IT Manager to see projects through to completion with minimal oversight
Participate in on-call rotation
Perform maintenance after-hours and on weekends
See issues through to resolution - including proper response and follow-up
Create weekly progress reports
Ability to travel to various Mint Dentistry sites within the DFW and Houston metros occasionally. (some travel required)
Document processes and procedures as needed
Assists customers, end users and operating staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology
Manage incoming calls, emails, chats, and remote helpdesk tickets for IT Services from MINT users
Receive, prioritize, document and actively resolve initial end user requests for assistance in person, by telephone, chat, walk-ins or via e-mail
On-boarding of equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
Monitor ticketing queue for tickets and process first-in first-out based on priority
Follow up on outstanding requests and adhere to strict communication and resolution timetables
Manage disposal/retirement of obsolete assets per site disposal policy
Maintain Windows Security and OS patching
Interaction with multiple levels of end users, managers, VIPs and local technical staff is required
Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport and communications with all users, co-workers, service contractors, and others as appropriate
Assist System Administrator with basic server and Group Policy management, troubleshooting & issue resolution
Assist as needed with installation and maintenance of physical IT and security infrastructure, including cabling, cable testing, etc
Stay current with system information, changes and updates
Identify and escalate priority issues per Client specifications
Manage our corporate Active Directory and other shared corporate services
Accountable for all server implementation and management; Meeting high standards for uptime and reliability, while keeping redundancy and resiliency in mind
Manage all enterprise monitoring and backup solutions
Document and Diagram all technology solutions - existing and new

Required

5+ years of experience in an IT support or systems-focused role

Excellent communication skillset is a must
Expert in prioritization, multi-tasking, and managing IT projects
Proven track record with the above-listed qualifications

Preferred

Associates degree in an IT related field
MCSE or related Certifications
HIPAA environment experience
Scripting and Automation experience
Virtual Machine setup, configuration, operation experience
Experience with MySQL
