Responsibilities

Bachelor’s Degree and six to eight years of experience in network, security, telecom or IT systems development

Equivalent experience level may offset educational requirement

Must demonstrate a good working knowledge of moderately complex systems, including experience with EIGRP, F5, Palo Alto, Avaya, Genisis, Cisco, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, VPN, IDS, IPS, TACACS, RSA

Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, MCSE or security certifications preferred

Strong understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts including emerging software defined networks and CCaaS systems

Solid understanding the principles of routing, firewalls and phone system configurations and programming

Expert knowledge of networking, security protocols, telecommunications systems and deployments

Knowledge of writing technical documents, configuration drawings, network management tools and networking technology

Ability to determine whether a particular problem is caused by hardware, operating systems software, application programs, or network failures

Good knowledge of data security and encryption
