Responsibilities
Accurately capturing and maintaining patient registration data for patients admitted for outpatient services
Querying databases and searching for existing medical record numbers
Establishing clinic billing accounts in Epic
Completing insurance verification including eligibility checking and obtaining insurance benefits
Accurately entering information into the system for use by registration, billing, medical records, and clinical staff
Interacting with internal and external customers to create a positive first impression
Scheduling all patient appointments in Epic Cadence
Answering a multiline phone and triaging calls to appropriate clinic staff
Creating patient call back messages routed to clinic staff
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting
1-2 years in billing, insurance verification, and/or registration
1-2 years in customer service
1-2 years working with health insurance terminology
