Goodwill Industries of South Florida is seeking a Retail Associate to provide excellent customer service and manage various retail activities. The role involves receiving donations, processing merchandise, conducting sales transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device (such as a phone or tablet), and thank donors for their donated items

Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items. Sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise

Cashiering: Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions by following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments

Cleaning duties (including but not limited to) bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters. Report issues that require maintenance repairs

Customer service activities (including but not limited to) customer assistance, pricing merchandise, fitting room, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and other sales techniques that may enhance the store’s sales and community image

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
