Wilson Health is seeking an experienced and passionate Infection Prevention Specialist to lead their comprehensive infection prevention program and promote a culture of safety. In this key role, you will direct and coordinate hospital-wide infection prevention efforts, serve as a consultant on infection control best practices, and develop educational programs for staff and patients.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate hospital-wide infection prevention efforts to ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards

Serve as a consultant to staff, providers, and leadership on infection control best practices

Develop and deliver education for employees, physicians, and patients on infection prevention topics

Conduct surveillance and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and collaborate with local health departments as required

Oversee NHSN reporting, manage the annual flu vaccination program, and support the hospital’s Water Safety and Hand Hygiene programs

Participate in construction and renovation projects, ensuring infection control risk assessments are implemented and maintained
