Responsibilities
Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results
Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company
Develops long-term strategies and plans including project charters, scope and audit plans
Forecasts resource requirements both internally and externally to ensure timeline success
Plans and manages business unit/department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives
Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization
Leads project teams and subteams to develop and implement new programs and process improvements
Develops project charter for prioritization and approval
Develops and monitors projects in accordance with Starbucks established program management methodologies
Ensures that multiple projects meet specified timelines and deliver expected results
Monitors and manages project and program schedules, progress and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and within budget
Monitors and manages project plans as needed
Consolidates, communicates and ensures resolution of all issues
May develop and collect performance metrics
Negotiates and manages consultant contracts; ensures successful resolution of issues
Oversees the design, development, testing, rollout and audit of programs
Provides project oversight on all programs and projects
Represents business unit, department or functional area on cross-functional project teams
Provides functional expertise to assess potential financial and operational impact
Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results
Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews
Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements
Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions
Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business and customer results
Qualification
Required
Proven experience applying industry-based project and change management methodologies and tools on medium to large complex problems including defining and measuring their success
Experience bringing strategic priorities and an effective Rhythm of the Business to live in a large, highly matrixed organization
Experience mentoring and managing other project managers in program and project management
Removes barriers to move faster. Experiments and adapts. Thrives under pressure and fast pace
Brings intellectual curiosity and creativity, can think outside the box on new ways of working and new ways of using data to influence and drive our priorities
Someone who has designed and implemented change initiatives – can selflessly influence at all levels
