Assoc Regulatory Analyst/Regulatory Analyst/Sr - Certificates
Northern Natural Gas is a leader in natural gas transportation and operates extensive pipeline systems. They are seeking a Regulatory Analyst to support various departments in navigating regulatory requirements and managing certificate applications.

Responsibilities
Prepares and coordinates the timely and accurate preparation of all certificate filings
Maintains regulatory records system and transmittal and distribution of regulatory filings
Notifies management of the implications of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission proposals or actions related to construction or operation of facilities
Develops strategies to negotiate and resolve issues with shippers, state commissions, marketers, brokers, end users and producers
Reviews rate-related schedules and environmental exhibits included in certificate applications
Establishes and maintains appropriate contacts with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission staff
Provides technical input to assist in development of project planning
Performs any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience. (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
0-2 years of related experience in regulated industry for Associate Regulatory Analyst
Three or more years of related experience in regulated industry for Regulatory Analyst
Five or more years of related experience in a regulated industry for Sr Regulatory Analyst
Knowledge of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regulatory requirements and processes involving the preparation of certificate filings and reports
Knowledge of interstate pipeline tariffs and their system operations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently; must have excellent organizational skills
