NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) serves the men and women of the military by providing essential services. They are seeking a Micro Market Associate to maintain micro markets, engage with customers, and handle cash transactions while supporting the local Naval community.

Responsibilities

Maintains Exchange owned Micro markets daily, performing inspections and replenishing products

Greets and engages with customers in selection of merchandise

Collects money from vending machines, micro market kiosks or other miscellaneous machines

Turn-in money bags daily from Cash Handling Clerks after counting and verifying cash receipts

Operates motor vehicle in the performance of the duties

Qualification

GSA defensive driving courseRetail sales experienceCustomer interaction skillsVending operations

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must possess a valid state driver's license and pass a pre-employment criminal & motor vehicle background check. (e.g. Federal, DOD, Security Clearance)

Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties

Must pass the GSA defensive driving course

Must possess a valid state driver s license or a valid commercial driver s license CDL

Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely

Must be able to pass appropriate background checks needed for the specific area of responsibility e.g. Federal DOD Security Clearance etc

Pass the GSA defensive driving course

One year progressive responsible clerical office or retail sales work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to interact with customers

One year of progressively responsible experience that provides the applicant with knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of retail to include retail sales services vending store operations and warehouse etc

Frequently stands walks and lifts moderately heavy objects weighing up to 40 lbs
