Francis Energy is a pioneer in the EV charging industry, seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations and manage the Accounting Department. The role involves supervising accounting staff, preparing financial reports, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

Supervise accounting staff and align resources to ensure the group continues to provide the rest of the business the support it needs amidst explosive growth

Manage Month End Close, work in process reporting and general ledger

Prepare Monthly Consolidation and Financial Reporting

Coordinate quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits, and tax returns

Develop and maintain the system of internal accounting controls

Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial regulations

Prepare and manage annual and project specific budgets, including rolling monthly forecasts

Maintain state registrations, business, and tax licenses

Participate in and support ongoing improvement initiatives

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership

Required

5 + years of experience in accounting or finance as Assistant Controller or higher level

Bachelors' degree in accounting or finance; Big 4 CPA Audit experience strongly preferred

Strong familiarity with ASC 606, ASC 842, and Fixed Asset Management

Strong knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office 365 required, experience with Sitetracker and in current ERP systems

Self-Starter and driven individual that can take initiative with limited instruction

Leadership skills and ability to manage a team and work effectively with Executive Management Team

Work with Senior Management and Operations Managers to ensure financial directives are followed

Experience dealing with banks and financial institutions

Preferred

Knowledge of federal and state government grants, applications, and billing is a plus
