Corporate Controller

Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a rapidly growing financial services organization seeking a Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations and financial reporting. This leadership role involves building scalable processes and supporting growth through acquisitions in preparation for a future public offering.

Responsibilities

Lead all corporate accounting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
Design, implement, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in preparation for a future IPO
Manage external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors and third-party advisors
Partner with treasury to oversee banking and lender relationships, including covenant compliance and reporting
Support mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-transaction integration
Partner with executive leadership and FP& A on strategic initiatives and growth planning
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
Drive systems enhancements, process improvements, and scalability as the organization grows

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
CPA required
Public accounting experience required (Big 4 or national firm strongly preferred)
Current or prior SEC reporting experience or exposure to public-company accounting environments
IPO readiness or IPO experience is a strong plus
Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with complex transactions
Proven experience managing bank relationships and debt structures
Hands-on M& A experience, including due diligence and integration
10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm strongly preferred)
IPO readiness or IPO experience is a strong plus
