Knowledge Work Intern
Virginia Economic Development Partnership is seeking two Interns for the Knowledge Work Division during the summer of 2026. The role involves gaining on-the-job experience in economic development and lead generation while working on projects that contribute to ecosystem building.

Responsibilities
Analyze quantitative data and present data analysis in a visually compelling format
Assist in designing and developing presentations and reports for economic development stakeholders
Engage with executive staff, clients, and stakeholders on relevant research, including presenting research or updates on key projects
Communicate insights from industry engagements to inform strategy
Support the development of industry initiatives that drive ecosystem or investment growth
Assist in other project-related tasks, as needed
Qualification
Required
Interest in economics, public policy, workforce development, government, marketing or business
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective time management skills
Eager to learn new methodologies
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong relationship management skills and ability to quickly develop trusted working relationships
Preferred
Previous research and data experience (preferred but not required)
Pursuit of a bachelor's or graduate degree in social science (economics, public policy, or political science), data analytics (with experience in Salesforce), business, digital marketing, or related field is preferred
