Responsibilities
Partner with operations and maintenance to identify and execute improvement opportunities to minimize equipment downtime
Analyze downtime data to determine top loss areas and develop strategies to prevent recurrence
Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and external vendors to enhance repair effectiveness and equipment reliability
Manage the spare parts program, ensuring critical components are available to maintain production uptime
Lead problem-solving initiatives and train team members in root cause analysis methods
Own and track MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) metrics for the Injection Molding department
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably electrical)
Hands-on repair support
Problem solving from engineering standpoint
Experience with MTTR and MTBF
Experience managing spare parts inventory to fix machines
Working knowledge of electrical controls, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and machine design
Experience with electrical systems (24VDC–480VAC), hydraulics, PLCs, HMIs, and process control systems
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
