Inventory Control Manager - Milwaukee Tool

Responsibilities
Lead and manage inventory control processes, including cycle counting and physical inventory
Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce costs
Analyze inventory data to identify and report potential excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory practices with lean principles
Design and enhance policies, procedures, and infrastructure to support inventory best practices
Establish performance expectations for team members and conduct regular performance appraisals
Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to staff to support professional development
Communicate merit increases and performance-related feedback effectively and appropriately
Act as a recognized leader and facilitator in inventory-related initiatives across the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
Minimum 7 years of experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or service-related industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience in inventory control management within a high SKU environment
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and risk management
Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives
Advanced analytical and planning skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable plans
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Experience implementing lean enterprise methods (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent)
Preferred
Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred
APICS or CPSM certification considered an asset
