Responsibilities

Design and maintain applications that process, analyze, and store large volumes of market data, ensuring accuracy and data integrity

Apply a strong understanding of financial market products (examples include futures, options, swaps, clearing, margining, and trade reporting) to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions

Prototyping and implementing designs in keeping with NFA software development lifecycle practices

Enhance and optimize alerting to improve accuracy and efficiency

Support ongoing changes and initiatives to ensure applications and surveillance tools evolve with the regulatory landscape

Contribute to architectural decisions, technical standards, and best practices across the application development lifecycle

Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership and training on complex initiatives and enhancements

Required

Extensive experience developing applications in a regulated or data intensive environment with a focus on complex financial systems

Bachelor's degree required

Skilled in SDLC, system testing, production support, and change management

Demonstrated ability to work directly with non-technical regulatory stakeholders and translate business needs into technical designs

Preferred

Experience supporting financial, regulatory organizations, exchanges, or financial institutions strongly preferred

Familiarity with trade surveillance concepts such as spoofing, layering, manipulation preferred

Advanced degree preferred

Experience with Visual Studio, Microsoft Access, Entity Framework, Azure DevOps, XML, API and Azure Cloud Computing experience helpful

Additional technologies used may include Dapper, Blazor, and REACT
