WDTC Field Technician

Battelle delivers critical services and conducts research and development for various clients. The WDTC Field Technician operates vehicles and equipment while supporting research, development, test, and evaluation of CBRNE defense in field scenarios.

Responsibilities

Applies job skills and applicable policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks. Clearly communicates routine research procedures and results for contribution to reports
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
May train and guide less experienced staff
Conducts standard as well as non-standard tasks under close supervision and guidance of more experienced staff

Required

Associate degree in related field; 1 year of applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field
Exhibits sufficient technical knowledge to perform routine assignments
Demonstrated the ability to operate basic equipment and follow standard procedures
Ability to perform routine specified analysis of data
Must be able to lift and handle heavy items (50 lbs.), stand/walk for extended periods of time (>6 hours), and support non-standard working hours (6pm to 6am)

Preferred

May be expected to pursue various certifications or continuing educational units, as needed
