The Florida Department of Lottery is looking for a Programmer Analyst I to join their team in developing and supporting information systems. The role involves working on large-scale applications, contributing to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of existing systems, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a team developing applications and components using Agile methodologies

Review and understand documented business requirements and technical specifications

Use no-code, low-code tools including Oracle APEX to develop and test applications

Develop and test multi-tier database-driven Java applications and components

Develop web solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks, and other tools

Design, configure, and use ETL tools and process to analyze, manipulate, and integrate data

Define and complete unit and system level testing

Create and maintain technical documentation

Work as part of a team on user acceptance tests

Work as part of a team on production deployments

Provide support for assigned production systems

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Provides consultation and technical assistance to members of the Lottery staff

Learn about the Lottery’s system business operations

Develop and grow relevant technical expertise and skills

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience)

Maintains strict confidentiality of information learned while working with the Florida Lottery, whether learned through assigned duties or through working with other units

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
