Mid Level7N is working with a leading US Regional Bank to find a Backend Developer. The successful candidate will plan, design, develop, and maintain software applications and services, focusing on delivering a secure digital experience for customers.

Responsibilities
The Backend Engineer will plan, design, develop, configure, document, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain Client's software applications and services
The Backend Engineer will collaborate as a member on a team of developers, business analysts, product managers, and QA/testing staff focused on delivering a secure and top-notch new digital experience for our internal and external customers
The role responsibilities will include development, maintenance, and support of the Internet Banking applications
The candidate should be able to bring technical expertise and industry best practice to the development team to ensure outstanding software development and delivery
Further, the candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team to develop features and capabilities as well as resolve issues or defects
Qualification
Required
Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills and experience with the web technology stack is required
Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, TSS, Node.js
Expertise in React, TailwindCSS, NextJS or similar frameworks
Experience with automated testing frameworks like Jest, Playwright, or Cyprus
Expertise with responsive and mobile design, Cross browser development, and use of APIs
Experience in Web services, ie. REST
Advanced knowledge of source control and change control practices with a propensity to adhere to the established standards
Experience with build automation and deployment tools (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Experience deploying applications in a containerized, cloud environment (e.g., Kubernetes)
Development experience with web applications deployed in complex, multi-tiered environments
Knowledge of SQL Queries and Stored Procedures is a plus
Strong initiative and focus on high quality results
Excellent team player with ability to bring along peers and other stakeholders
Focused on delivering world-class customer experiences
Familiar with Agile development methodologies
Possess a strong sense of ownership for achieving results
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience working in a complex, dynamic environment
Excellent at delivering solutions for complex business requirements

Top notch critical thinking skills, able to explain the rationale behind design or selections
Exhibit a passion to streamline common activities (automate)
Ability to independently drive solutions while working with multiple teams and business units
Comfortable leading technical design sessions
Available for on call support 24x7 on a rotational basis
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, STEM or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Preferred
Dynatrace expertise would be a bonus
Financial Services experience a plus
