Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of transportation projects, including roadways, trails, and transit facilities
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design documentation under the mentorship of experienced engineers
Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams
Build expertise in navigating federal, state, and local regulations, while aligning with KPFF’s and our clients’ standards and practices
Join client meetings and site visits to gain exposure to project development and stakeholder engagement
Participate in KPFF’s Forefront program, our commitment to mentorship, lifelong learning, and career development

Qualification
Required
An ABET accredited bachelor's degree in civil (preferred) or environmental engineering
0-3 years' experience working under a licensed professional engineer
Excellent written and verbal communication
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Passionate about providing exceptional client service
Preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or scheduled date for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
Coursework and/or familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Coursework and/or familiarity with MicroStation and OpenRoads
