Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement SCADA/EMS applications and components within the EMS platform environment
Execute full lifecycle development, including feature enhancements, system integration, and maintenance of real-time control applications
Perform rigorous testing activities such as Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), integration testing, and on-site commissioning
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system reliability and uptime
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (controls, networking, communications) for seamless system integration
Maintain comprehensive documentation, configuration management, and testing protocols
Provide direct technical support to customers, addressing issues, and delivering system improvements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and assess emerging technologies for SCADA/EMS applications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
7+ years of experience in SCADA, EMS, or real-time application development
Hands-on experience with EMS platform systems (mandatory)
Strong proficiency in UNIX/Linux (AIX, Solaris) and Windows environments
Programming expertise in C, C++, SQL, and shell scripting
Knowledge of real-time data acquisition, system integration, and communication protocols
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex environments
Strong communication skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to travel occasionally for site testing and commissioning

Preferred

Experience with version control tools (e.g., ClearCase, Git) and change management processes
Familiarity with SCADA networking protocols (DNP3, ICCP, Modbus) and real-time databases
Background in power grid operations, energy transmission, or utility systems
Detail-oriented with a process-driven approach
Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in collaborative teams
