The City of Perrysburg is offering two Natural Resources internships for the summer. The interns will assist with various tasks related to the Natural Resources and Stormwater programs, including data collection, field inspections, and maintaining natural landscapes.

Responsibilities

Collecting, updating, and maintaining physical features information for use in the City's GIS operational layers
Identifying and collecting missing information pertaining to the operational layers for water, stormwater, and sanitary sewers
Assisting with the inspection of ditches, waterways, ponds, and engineered structures
Assisting with the identification and screening of stormwater outfalls by means of field verification
Performing construction site inspections for compliance with stormwater regulations
Reading and interpreting record drawings
Collecting and keeping a record of any missing or incomplete file
Performing weeding, trimming, or mowing maintenance within natural areas to encourage native plantings and removal of invasive species
Assist with litter control, clean-up, and recycling initiatives
May operate City-owned equipment

Required

Knowledge of: ESRI ArcGIS software; ESRI Collector app; utilities and horticultural knowledge is beneficial
Skill in: Operation of personal computer; Office 365; GPS operation; plant identification
Ability to: Collect and maintain data; work in various types of weather conditions; work independently; use hand tools
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the City's vehicle insurance provider and pass a drug test and background check
