Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns
Observe and report any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols
Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and monitor entry points as required by site policies
Collaborate with facility personnel and local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift
Qualification
Required
Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Access control or badge experience is preferred
CPR certification is preferred
