Responsibilities
Perform independent validation of machine learning models already in production
Reproduce and test model outputs for consistency and stability
Review training/testing data, input features, and model design
Conduct statistical testing, backtesting, and benchmarking against performance metrics
Assess conceptual soundness, data quality, and model implementation
Document validation findings and provide recommendations per regulatory expectations
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience validating ML models (RandomForest, XGBoost)
Deep understanding of OCC 2011-12 / SR 11-7 model governance standards
Perform independent validation of machine learning models already in production
Reproduce and test model outputs for consistency and stability
Review training/testing data, input features, and model design
Conduct statistical testing, backtesting, and benchmarking against performance metrics
Assess conceptual soundness, data quality, and model implementation
Document validation findings and provide recommendations per regulatory expectations
Quantitative analysis and model validation background
Strong statistical knowledge (regression, sampling, time-series analysis, bias/variance, overfitting)
Familiarity with ML algorithms (RandomForest, XGBoost)
Proficiency in Python, R, or SAS for validation testing
Understanding of OCC 2011-12 / SR 11-7 model risk guidance
Excellent documentation and communication skills for regulatory-facing deliverables
