Chief Financial Officer
Camino Search is supporting multiple emerging private-equity-backed software businesses that are preparing for accelerated growth. They are seeking hands-on, operational CFOs who have successfully led a SaaS organization through the $10M–$50M ARR stage under PE ownership.
Responsibilities
Proven CFO or VP Finance stepping into CFO responsibilities within a PE-backed SaaS company
Experience scaling revenue from $10M to $50M+ ARR, ideally with strong ARR visibility and subscription metrics
Hands-on operator with the ability to build:
FP&A
Reporting infrastructure
Systems (ERP, BI, billing)
Board packs & KPI dashboards
Deep understanding of SaaS financial mechanics:
LTV/CAC
Gross margin optimization
Churn/retention
ARR/MRR analytics
Experience partnering with PE sponsors on value creation, cash management, and exit readiness
Strong capability in pricing, cost discipline, forecasting, and strategic planning
Track record of building or upgrading finance teams and processes from early-stage to maturity
Builder-type CFOs comfortable rolling up their sleeves
Highly analytical with commercial judgement
Experienced in M&A modelling, integrations, and due diligence
Able to influence CEOs, Boards, and investors
First-time CFO builds (founder-led SaaS transitioning to PE discipline)
Second-time CFOs scaling toward exit
Hybrid CFO/COO mandates with operational ownership
M&A-focused CFO roles (roll-ups, add-ons, integration)
