Junior Engineer – Crisis & Emergency Management
Bell Immersive Technology Solutions is seeking a motivated Junior Engineer to join their Crisis & Emergency Management team. The role involves supporting the development and management of crisis and emergency response systems for clients remotely, as well as participating in onsite drills and exercises.

Responsibilities
Offsite Crisis & Emergency Response System Development
Develop, review, and update client-specific Crisis Management Plans, Emergency Response Procedures, and Business Continuity Plans remotely, based on client data and virtual collaboration
Design emergency response organization structures and communication protocols from our offsite location for deployment at client sites
Maintain all digital documentation, plans, and inventories related to emergency preparedness in a central, cloud-based system
Research and analyze client sites and industries to tailor plans to specific risks and regulatory requirements
Onsite Drill and Exercise Support
Travel to client sites periodically to support the execution of emergency drills and table-top exercises
Document drill activities, collect performance data, and lead the preparation of detailed After-Action Reports (AARs) from the offsite location post-visit
Track and follow up on corrective actions identified during drills, managing this process remotely
Remote HSE & Risk Integration
Analyze client-provided data (e.g., site layouts, risk assessments, incident reports) to identify risks that could escalate into emergencies
Support the development of risk registers and contribute to HSE compliance audits by reviewing documentation shared by clients
Participate in virtual incident investigation reviews and help analyze root causes
Client and Project Support
Prepare presentations, reports, and visual aids for virtual client meetings and training sessions
Liaise with client representatives via email, video calls, and other digital collaboration tools
Stay updated on relevant codes, standards, and best practices in crisis management and HSE
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Fire & Safety, Industrial), Environmental Science, or a related field
3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably within a consulting firm, the energy sector, or a dedicated HSE role
Demonstrable exposure to crisis and emergency response systems is essential
Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to work effectively and independently in a remote setting
Excellent written communication skills are critical for clear remote collaboration and report writing
Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, SharePoint)
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Preferred
Certifications (Preferred): NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or similar
